About the Show

Nuns is a comedic play about three rebellious nuns and how they plot to overthrow the mother superior in order to establish smoking rights for themselves.  The youngest, Sister Bernadette is being seduced into the cause by Sister Catharine and Sister Roza during one of their secret smoking  sessions. Through a series of manipulation, seduction, substance abuse, drinking, and a grave loss Sister Catharine ends up finding her way back to God.

This was a difficult production for me. I was brought on as the stage manager 36 hours before tech started. I had to scramble to get 3 weeks worth of paperwork done in under a day. Some challenges from this show: The directors were also acting in the show, and lack of time. The directors being actors as well was a unique challenge between balancing expectations and keeping things moving forward. On the other hand, my biggest win was that that was my first time stage managing. I ran my first tech week, and (kind of) called my first show. Additionally, I was the lighting designer for this show.
